Child Cyrus

I needed practice drawing children, and I've always loved Cyrus's backstory, and all of the information about his behavior as a child. I figured he was a good place to start

If you can't tell what's going on, he's taking apart a Gameboy Color using a child's screwdriver. The quill pen he has next to him is something he has in the manga; It's made from the feather of a Honchkrow, his signature Pokemon. To his left (the right of the image) is a Magnezone plushie, Magnezone being another one of his signature Pokemon.

I chose a striped wallpaper for the background to act as a metaphorical "prison," both because he virtually imprisoned himself indoors as a child, and as an allegory to his later criminal lifestyle.

Finally, his shirt has a depiction of the Sun, Jupiter, Mars, and Saturn. Cyrus is an ancient Persian name that can mean "Sun," while Jupiter, Mars, and Saturn of course correspond to the names of his future Commanders.
